Trump labels sexual assault victims Soros-funded 'paid professionals' in outrageous conspiracy theory tweet

President Trump must really be trying to compensate for InfoWars' Twitter ban.
In a Friday tweet reminiscent of an Alex Jones conspiracy, Trump questioned the legitimacy of protesters opposing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. The sexual assault victims who confronted Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) in an elevator and perhaps led him to demand an FBI investigation into Kavanaugh's own sexual assault allegations? "Paid professionals," the president alleged in his tweet. All those #CancelKavanaugh signs carried by protesters when they infiltrated a Senate office building Thursday? "Identical," and "paid for by [liberal philanthropist George] Soros," Trump claimed.
Conspiracy theorists and #QAnon subscribers quickly poured into Trump's replies, essentially confirming that Trump's whole hypothesis is trash. Still, you have to wonder if the dozens of videos of the elevator incident are doctored, or if the hundreds of videos, news reports, and firsthand accounts of Kavanaugh protests are all a sham.
