Elon Musk is pretty sure he's going to die on Mars

Elon Musk doesn't want to live on this planet anymore.
The SpaceX CEO, who thinks a base can be built on Mars by 2028, told Axios that there is a "70 percent chance" that he, personally, is going to the red planet. This optimistic prediction is based on a number of "recent breakthroughs" that have him "fired up," he said. To be clear, he isn't talking about a trip to Mars and back. "I'm talking about moving there," Musk clarified.
When Musk was asked if going to Mars would essentially be an "escape hatch for rich people," Musk disputed the idea, saying that actually, there's a "good chance" that those who travel to Mars will die there because of the "very harsh environment," and he's not even sure that it's possible for them to come back at all. That might sound like a point against going on the trip, but considering Musk has been saying for years that he wants to die on Mars, for him, it's far from a negative.
