With the Los Angeles Rams trailing the New England Patriots 3-0 during the third quarter of the Super Bowl, even the CBS announcers began to complain about how uneventful the game had been up until that point. A brief moment of excitement was offered, though, when the Rams' punter, Johnny Hekker, kicked a 65-yard punt — the longest in Super Bowl history:
The punt was Hekker's eighth of the night; additionally, the Rams are the first team to punt on their first eight possessions of the game, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Of course, it's a little bit telling when a punt is the most exciting part of the night so far.
