Lady Gaga really wants people to stop suggesting that she and Bradley Cooper are in love
Lady Gaga finds herself longing — for rumors that she's in love with Bradley Cooper to go away.
Gaga and Cooper's stunning performance of A Star Is Born's "Shallow" at the Oscars on Sunday set social media aflame, with the conversation being dominated by memes, and even actual speculation, about the two dating in real life — even though Cooper isn't single. When asked about this reaction on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday, Gaga dismissed the theories.
"First of all, social media, quite frankly, is the toilet of the internet," she said. "And what it has done to pop culture is just abysmal." If you saw chemistry in the performance, Gaga said, "that's what we wanted you to see" because, well, they're singing a love song from a movie where they're in love.

Outside of the romance rumors, Gaga further discussed the performance by giving all the credit to Cooper, saying the unique way it was framed was his idea. "Everything that you saw, the way that it was shot, the way that they pushed the piano out ... all of that, that was all him." Brendan Morrow
