Spiritual author Marianne Williamson is probably going to qualify for the Democratic 2020 debates
The Democratic debate stage is looking positively stuffed.
Even the most longshot of candidates, spiritual author and activist Marianne Williamson, is coming close to becoming the 18th candidate to join the Democrats' 20-slot debates. Williamson is less than 2,000 donations away from the 65,000-donor minimum needed to make it, she revealed Tuesday. Either hitting that goal or polling over one percent in three predetermined polls would get her to the Miami debates next month.
Meanwhile, the vultures... no, eagles are coming for fellow longshot Democrat Andrew Yang's campaign. The tech entrepreneur has qualified for the debates both by racking up 65,000 donors and by polling over one percent — though his polling hasn't really climbed higher than that. Still, he made a plea for donations with the help of some feathered passersby on Tuesday. Kathryn Krawczyk
