Billy Bush is returning to television.
Bush is set to host Extra Extra, which is described as a new version of Extra that will cover pop culture, sports, and politics, beginning this fall, People reported on Wednesday. This is Bush's first hosting gig since he was fired from Today in 2016 following the release of a leaked 2005 tape in which he laughs along as then presidential candidate Donald Trump says that he has grabbed women without their consent.
Bush told People that "we all have to be able to evolve as we grow," promising that since 2016, he "had the opportunity to grow up a little bit" and will now "be better at my job than I ever was." He also said that he "fell completely apart" because of the 2016 scandal but argued that although the tape was "a bad moment ... one moment doesn't define your life."

Producer Lisa Gregorisch-Dempsey told Variety that Bush is a "consummate journalist" and the "perfect host as we reinvent Extra for a new generation." Extra Extra, which Deadline reports will air on Fox stations, is set to premiere on Sept. 9.
