The Washington Nationals dominated Game 2 of the World Series on Wednesday night, defeating the Houston Astros 12-3.
The Nationals took command of the game during a six-run seventh inning, featuring a homer from catcher Kurt Suzkuki. Washington added to the scoreboard during the eighth inning with three more runs.
The Astros did make history during the second inning, as pitcher Justin Verlander earned the record for most all-time strikeouts in the playoffs, passing John Smoltz.
