Trump reportedly fell asleep while writing his infamous 'covfefe' tweet
It looks like President Trump could use a cup of covfefe.
That's because Trump didn't tweet the word intentionally. He just fell asleep in the middle of writing something else, The New York Times' Maggie Haberman reports.
Trump created fodder for jokes, bills, and even racehorse names back in May 2017 when starting a traditional rant on "negative press" before seemingly translating "coverage" to "covfefe" and trailing off. Covfefe the racehorse won big again over the weekend, and when The Daily Caller characterized the horse as named after Trump's "mistweet," Trump tweeted to ask how the conservative site knew it was a mistweet. "May be something with deep meaning!" he continued.

Haberman quickly stepped in to say Trump's social media director Dan Scavino told aides at the time that Trump had fallen asleep while writing the tweet — further proof of the power of naps.
