Biden projected to win North Carolina primary

Former Vice President Joe Biden continues to roll through the Southeast.
After winning the South Carolina Democratic presidential primary Saturday and the Virginia primary just moments ago, outlets swiftly projected Biden to pick up another victory in neighboring North Carolina. Biden has secured 36.4 percent of the vote, with just over 50 percent tallied. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is behind him at 24.1 percent.
It's not much of a shocker as most polls predicted a Biden victory, but it does reinforce the idea that he's captured legitimate momentum in the region. There are 110 delegates at stake in the Tar Heel state.
