Trump apparently plans to counter-program Biden's convention speech from the comforts of Sean Hannity's show

President Trump is evidently planning to counter-program Joe Biden's big speech during the final night of the Democratic National Convention on Thursday — from the comforts of his ally Sean Hannity's show. The Fox News host announced Wednesday that the president will be joining his 9 p.m. ET show tomorrow night, ahead of the culmination of the Democrat's convention.
"Trump is going back to his standard playbook, which is, rattle the cage," explained Tobe Berkovitz, a Boston University professor who specializes in political communications, to Yahoo News of Trump's strategy this week. "Try to be disruptive, try to force attention on himself, his message and to try to attack whoever his target happens to be. So what he's doing is very typical of his type of strategy."
Trump, for example, slammed former Ohio Gov. John Kasich as a "major loser" ahead of his DNC speech, and on Wednesday falsely tweeted "HE SPIED ON MY CAMPAIGN AND GOT CAUGHT!" while former President Barack Obama was speaking.

Republicans are anticipating Biden will get a bump in the polls following the convention, "but the question's going to be can he hold it, because, obviously, the president will have his convention next week," the Trump campaign's director of strategic communications, Marc Lotter, has said.
