Spider blamed for watery crash
A man has blamed a spider for a motoring accident that ended with his car sinking in a lake in Australia. The unnamed driver was transporting rubbish to a nearby tip when he spotted a large huntsman spider crawling on him. In a panic, he pressed the accelerator instead of the brakes, sending him off the road and into Lake Cathie. He escaped through an open window before the car was completely submerged.

Man livestreams chase in stolen police car
Police in Tulsa, Oklahoma, have arrested a man who allegedly stole a police car and used an officer's iPad to livestream his joyride on Facebook. John Pinney, 25, posted four separate videos to the site before being caught outside his parents' home. Among his charges is possession of a firearm by a felon, due to the police weapons left in the vehicle.
Pranksters infiltrate North Korean golf tournament
Two men have tricked their way into an international golf tournament in North Korea by posing as an official Australian golf team. Morgan Ruig and Evan Shay, of Brisbane, entered the tournament as a joke and were shocked when they were accepted. After having team blazers made in China, they spent five days in North Korea before the tournament exposed their lack of golfing skills.
