After 25 years of video game adventures, Legend of Zelda protagonist Link is reportedly being readied for a new challenge: a live-action TV series.

The Wall Street Journal spoke with an insider who revealed that Netflix is in the very early stages of developing a TV show based on the popular video game series. The company is in the process of hiring writers to work on the series. The report adds Netflix and Nintendo are collaborating closely on the development of the Legend of Zelda TV series, which is described as "Game of Thrones for a family audience," and that both companies still have the power to pull the plug on the show.
