As you've probably heard, Hurricane Joaquin may (or may not, no one seems to actually know) hit the East Coast this weekend, prompting many to wonder just what kind of impact it will have as it lumbers northward and gathers strength. Will we see "historical rains"? Flooding? Worse?
The New York Police Department's 108th Precinct, for one, has developed a handy visual tool for illustrating just how bad it could get — using the face of the only person actually named Joaquin, the actor Joaquin Phoenix. And while things start off pretty tame with Walk the Line-era Joaquin, it might get really hairy by Monday, when we have full-blown I'm Still Here-era Joaquin.
For a preview of the kind of disaster that awaits, revisit Phoenix's notorious 2009 interview with David Letterman.
