Poor Rand Paul just wanted to be liked. He could have jumped on the Ron Paul "revolution" his father started in 2008, but he didn't seem content leading a dedicated yet polarizing fanbase bent on restoring the country back to its constitutional roots. Instead, Rand tried to please both the Libertarians and the Republican conservative base and in doing so pleased neither. Or, to put it another way...
