Moroccan boxer Hassan Saada, 22, lost his chance to fight at the Rio Olympics on Friday morning when Brazilian police arrested and jailed him over allegations of sexual assault. A police statement said Saada allegedly attempted to rape two Brazilian women who work in the Olympic Village on Wednesday, after he asked one of the women to pose for a photo with him.

Saada was slated to fight Turkish boxer Mehmet Nadir in the preliminary rounds Saturday. Police said he will be held for at least 15 days while a rape investigation is conducted, though Brazilian law permits suspects to be held longer.
