New York is the 'hangriest' state
A word to the wise — avoid New Yorkers at 2:15 p.m. on Mondays.
Snickers surveyed 5,000 Americans in all 50 states and found that New York is the "hangriest" state in the union, with hunger-induced rage peaking about two hours after lunchtime on Mondays, the New York Daily News reports. California and Florida tied for the second hangriest state, with mild-mannered Wisconsinites coming in as the least hangry population in America.
Snickers also learned that Californians are the quickest to get hangry, hitting the unpleasant mood just 18 minutes after being regularly hungry, and that New Yorkers hit the "hanger" level seven times a month, while the rest of the country only reaches that peak an average of five times a month. Men were also more likely than women to say they did something while hangry that they later regretted — 63 percent to 54 percent. Just over a quarter of Americans said they've actually been reduced to tears of hanger.
