Woman hospitalised with shark on her arm
A 23-year-old Florida woman has been taken to hospital with a two-foot long nurse shark attached to her arm. Witnesses say the woman was part of a group holding the shark by the tail when the animal attacked and refused to let go. The shark was killed by a bystander before emergency crews arrived, but the animal's jaw had seized shut while still attached to the woman's arm.

Driver hit by 'flying turtle'
A woman in Florida has had her car windscreen shattered by a flying turtle. Nicole Bjanes was travelling at 75mph when the turtle smashed through the windscreen, bounced off the passenger seat and landed on the dashboard. Local officials have determined that the turtle had been struck by another vehicle and thrown into the path of Bjanes. The turtle survived the accident unscathed.
£2,000 diamond crushed for Youtube
Lauri Vuohensilta, a Finnish factory owner responsible for the surprise YouTube hit "Hydraulic Press Channel", has used his hydraulic press to crush a 1.2 carat diamond, worth an estimated £2,000. "The diamond is gone. Diamond lose and press wins," said Vuohensilta after shattering the expensive item into tiny pieces. The diamond was donated by an American jewellery company.
