Porsche unveils its fastest Panamera yet
New Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Brake uses electric tech from the 918 hypercar
Porsche has launched the quickest version of its Panamera four-door so far – the Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo.
The new flagship tourer comes with the regular Turbo Sport Turismo’s 542bhp 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine, says Auto Express. This is paired with a 136bhp electric motor derived from the company’s 816 Hybrid hypercar. Together, the two powertrains have a combined output of 680bhp and 627lb-ft of torque.
This allows the tourer to go from 0-62mph in 3.4secs, the magazine says, and means the new Panamera reaches 62mph 0.4secs quicker than the standard Turbo Sport Turismo. The hybrid also boasts a top speed of 192mph – 4mph more than the standard Turbo.

Its powertrain uses an eight-speed automatic gearbox and promises combined fuel economy of 97mpg, says Autocar.
Thanks to its hybrid tech, the new Panamera can run in “full EV mode for up to 31 miles with a top speed of 87mph”, the magazine says. Recharging the onboard 14.1kWh battery takes between 2.4 and six hours.
“Buyers are treated to the Panamera’s slick near-buttonless interior, huge widescreen infotainment system and a breadth of performance options as standard”, reports Car magazine.
Porsche includes its dynamic chassis control, torque vectoring plus, ceramic composite brake system and sport chrono pack in the price, says the magazine. There’s also a “limited-slip diff, 21ins alloys and air suspension” fitted as standard.
With a price tag of £140,868, the Turbo S E-Hybrid is the most expensive Panamera Sport Turismo in the range. Orders are open now, says Autocar, with deliveries expected early next year.
