A man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering Sarah Wellgreen, more than two months after the mother-of-five vanished without trace.
Kent Police confirmed that Ben Lacomba had been re-arrested this morning and charged with murder. The 38-year-old, reported to be Wellgreen’s former partner, had been detained days after her disappearance but was later released on police bail, KentOnline reports.
Wellgreen, 46, was last seen near her home in New Ash Green, near Dartford, on 9 October. Friends and relatives described her as a devoted mother, and her disappearance was described as “entirely out of character” by Kent Police head of major crime Detective Superintendent Paul Fotheringham.

Despite extensive searchers, her body has not been found, but investigators they have reason to believe she was murdered.
“Officers have searched woodland, drains and rivers for her remains,” aided by hundreds of volunteers, Sky News reports.
“She has not been in touch with her family or friends since she vanished and, significantly, missed the 13th birthday of one of her sons,” adds The Sun.
There has also been no activity on her mobile phone or bank account since she disappeared.
