Woman died after ‘leaning out window’ on Bristol train
Victim was reportedly returning from Bath Christmas market when tragedy occurred
A Welsh woman who died after suffering serious head injuries on a Bristol-bound train may have been struck while leaning out of a window, police say.
Emergency services rushed to attend to the 28-year-old victim, from Penarth, but she died at the scene, reports The Sun.
A statement from the British Transport Police (BTP) said: "Officers were called at 10.10pm on Saturday following a report a woman had received serious head injuries while travelling on a train between Bath and Keynsham.”

Police say they are currently treating the death as accidental rather than suspicious.
“Our investigation remains at an early stage but initial inquiries suggest the woman may have been leaning out of a window when she suffered a blow to the head,” a BTP spokesperson said.
The Bristol Post reports that the victim, who has not been named, “was returning to Bristol following a visit to the Christmas market in Bath” when the tragedy occurred.
In 2016, 24-year-old rail enthusiast Simon Brown died after sustaining massive head injuries as he leaned out of the window on a Gatwick Express service in south London.
