Arsenal and Liverpool are reported to be on "red alert" following Pedro's assertion that he could be prepared to say goodbye to the Nou Camp.

Despite the fact that the 27-year-old winger wouldn't be able to leave Barcelona until the January transfer window, the Daily Star says the two Premier League clubs are frothing with excitement at the prospect of getting their hands on the Spanish international.

The Star adds that Pedro is "unhappy with the amount of game time he is receiving" under new Barca manager Luis Enrique, and as a result he is likely to spend the coming weeks considering his options. With his appearances likely to dwindle still further once Luis Suarez is cleared for action at the end of next month, Pedro is being tailed by Arsenal and Liverpool, with Arsene Wenger in particular known to be a fan of the Spaniard.

Finally, the man who's been through more clubs than Rory McIlroy is now on his way to India. Yes, everyone's favourite Frenchman, Nicolas Anelka, was unveiled on Monday as Mumbai's latest marksman. In reporting Anelka's shock move to India for their inaugural Indian Super League campaign, Reuters says that the 35-year-old former Arsenal striker "will join compatriots David Trezeguet and Robert Pires in the league" that runs from October 12 to December 20.

Since scoring for the Gunners in the 1998 FA Cup final, Anelka has worked his way through Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Manchester City, Fenerbahce, Bolton, Chelsea, Shanghai, Juventus and West Bromwich Albion.

Now he's at Mumbai in an outfit managed by former England midfielder Peter Reid and Anelka appears to be champing at the bit to show Bollywood what he can do with a ball. "I am pleased to join Mumbai City FC and through it participate in the exciting Indian Super League," said Anelka. "Talented international players and top Indian talent will make matches thrilling affairs."
