Greg Kinnear manages “the best JFK impersonation” in recent memory in this thorough account of America’s royal family, said the Chicago Sun-Times. Tom Wilkinson and Barry Pepper also perform admirably, but this eight-hour made-for-TV movie is simply too long.

Because this early Stanley Kubrick film was previously available only on a so-so DVD transfer, this is one of Criterion’s “more indispensable Blu-ray upgrades,” said the New York Post. Sterling Hayden stars as a criminal whose racetrack robbery “goes spectacularly awry.”
