Best websites for swapping stuff
At these sites you can trade books, movies, video games, and even time.
Swap.com lets its users trade books, movies, music, or video games at about $4 per item swapped, including shipping costs. When you join, you create two lists, “Items I Have” and “Items I Want.” You can begin swapping “as soon as you sign up.”
Swapadvd.com can be “a movie maven’s best friend.” When another member chooses a DVD from the ones you’ve listed as available, you pay $2 to ship the package out and receive a credit to get a DVD shipped to you.
Timebanks.org provides “an interesting new way to swap favors.” If a “Time Bank” exists in your community—there are about 100 so far—you can donate “as little as an hour of your time” pet-sitting or performing some other requested small task. Each good deed earns you credit for a favor you may need done.
