A Pittsburgh man has been arrested for trying to change a $1 million bill in a supermarket.
A Pittsburgh man has been arrested for trying to change a $1 million bill in a supermarket. The fake banknote featured a likeness of President Grover Cleveland, whose face did appear on the old $1,000 bill. But, as the cashier explained, there is no such thing as a $1 million bill. At this point, “the John Doe became irate,” breaking equipment and shouting, said police spokeswoman Diane Richard. The man was jailed, and so far has refused to provide his name.
Lindsay Lohan has entirely run out of money, says Britain’sNews of the World. The 21-year-old actress currently lives in the Los Angeles guesthouse of a film-producer friend, and a source says she “doesn’t have a choice because she’s totally broke.” Though Lohan has earned millions, she’s a profligate spender who burned throughher money on clothes, cars, Cristal Champagne, and multiple homes; in the past year, she ran up a $1 million bill while living atHollywood’s Chateau Marmont. “The amount she has wasted putting cocaine up her nose is disgusting,” adds the source. “Even she has lost count.”
Two Czech women whose daughters were switched in a hospital mix-up have decided to keep the children they were given. Jaroslava Trojanova and Jaroslava Cermakova, both 25, unknowingly reared the other’s daughter for 10 months before the mistake was discovered. The families agreed to swap daughters, but now, at thelast minute, both mothers have changed their minds. “I cannot even begin to imagine a life without Nikola,” said Trojanova. “How can I now see her as someone else’s child?”
