Halloween drinks: six spooky bottles to get the party started
Featuring gruesome glow-in-the-dark and sinister skull-shaped designs
1. Dead Man’s Fingers
Dead Man’s Fingers, the Cornish spiced rum brand, has brought out a limited-edition UV bottle for Halloween, making it the perfect spirit for toasting trick-or-treaters with.
This rather untraditional rum – which evokes the flavours of Cornish Saffron cake and Pedro Ximénez (white wine grape) ice cream – is delicious on the rocks, mixed with cola and/or contained within a spooky cocktail.

2. Crystal Head Limited Edition Onyx Vodka
Canadian brand Crystal Head’s striking, limited-edition Onyx Vodka bottle would make a fantastically frightening centrepiece for any Halloween gathering. The oil, sugar and additive-free spirit has been crafted from premium Mexican blue weber agave blended with pure water from Newfoundland, Canada. And now the company (co-founded by the actor and former SNL star Dan Aykroyd) has provided its flagship skull-shaped bottle with a Halloween makeover, giving it a luxurious black finish and matching crest debossed cap.
3. Kah Tequila Reposado
This striking bottle is inspired by the Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos), a joyous Mexican celebration of lost relatives, who are believed to return to their houses on Halloween. Kah Tequila is actually produced in the Mexican city of Tequila (which gave the spirit its namesake), where the blend ages for up to 11 months in wooden casks, resulting in an award-winning tequila with notes of chocolate, caramel, oak and spices.
4. Bacardi Rum
Nothing screams Halloween like a glow-in-the-dark bottle of rum, right? Perhaps that’s why Bacardi has launched two new limited-edition bottles to celebrate spooky season. The brand’s Carta Blanca (premium white rum) and Spiced Rum bottles now feature a bat-inspired design, and their late-night luminosity makes them the perfect present to take to a Halloween party.
5. Deadhead Six-Year-Old Spiced Rum
The bottle of this six-year-old, double-distilled rum – a spicy and rich potion of sugarcane juice and molasses – is shaped like a shrunken head, making it a highly memorable gift for any Halloween host. The peculiar design is intended to resemble the tsantsa, or shrunken heads, made by certain indigenous communities in South America in the 19th century.
6. Project #173 Pumpkin Spiced Rum
Whether you love it or hate it, you can’t argue against pumpkin spice being the ultimate autumn flavour. The team behind the Project #173 rum brand has launched a new pumpkin spice rum blend – perfect for a seasonal take on classic rum cocktails – contained within a classy bottle featuring a 23-karat gold leaf.
