1. Ryan Gosling received a sign that he must play Ken in 'Barbie'

It was Ken-t to be. On The Tonight Show, Ryan Gosling revealed the surprising reason he took the role of Ken in Greta Gerwig's Barbie movie: he received a sign, presumably from the movie gods. After being offered the role, Gosling says he went into his backyard to reflect on the decision … and found a Ken doll lying "face down in the mud next to a squished lemon." He immediately took a photo of the sad scene, sending it to Gerwig and accepting the offer right there. "I shall be your Ken," Gosling texted her, "for his story must be told." Okay, so maybe that's not the only reason, as Gosling also told Jimmy Fallon the Barbie screenplay was the "best script I've ever read." Besides, maybe he'll be able to do his part to ensure Ken finally gets some respect, as he wistfully reflected, "Nobody plays with Ken, man."
