1. PRO-RUSSIANS SHUN UKRAINE ROUND TABLE
Ukraine has today held round table talks with regional governors and members of the interim government as part of a ‘road map’ for peace drawn up by the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe - but pro-Russians who have taken control of some eastern towns have refused to take part.
2. CLAUDIA LAWRENCE: POLICE ARREST MAN
A 59-year-old man, named locally as Michael Snelling, has been arrested by police on suspicion of murdering the chef Claudia Lawrence who disappeared in York in 2009. The 35-year-old’s body has never been found. Police have been carrying out forensic investigations at Snelling’s house and one in North Shields.
3. KATE MIDDLETON 'HACKED 155 TIMES'
The hacking trial at the Old Bailey has heard that News of the World royal reporter Clive Goodman hacked Kate Middleton's phone 155 times. He admitted targeting the Duchess of Cambridge between December 2005 and August 2006. He also accessed voicemail on Prince William's phone 35 times. It is the first time he has admitted targeting the royal couple.

4. PISTORIUS SENT FOR PSYCHIATRIC TESTS
The trial of Oscar Pistorius will be delayed for at least two months after the judge ruled that he should be referred for psychiatric assessment. The defence had opposed the move, despite one of its witnesses suggesting that the athlete was suffering from Generalised Anxiety Disorder. Pistorius denies deliberately killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

5. FUNDRAISER STEPHEN SUTTON DIES AT 19
Teenage cancer sufferer Stephen Sutton, who raised more than £3m for charity after his appeal went viral on social media, has died. The 19-year-old, from Burntwood in Staffordshire died peacefully in his sleep said his mother, Jane, writing on his Facebook page. Sutton set out to raise £10,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust, but ended up collecting £3.2m.
6. JOBLESS FIGURES FALL TO FIVE-YEAR LOW
Unemployment fell to a five-year low in the three months to March, according to official figures released today. The Office for National Statistics said that 2.2 million people, or 6.8% of the workforce, were jobless. The number of people in employment reached 30.43 million, the highest since records began in 1971.

7. GLASGOW 2014 TICKET ‘FIASCO’ WEBSITE CLOSED
Organisers of the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow have closed the ticket website and phone line, dubbed a “fiasco” by users, until problems can be resolved, saying they are “very sorry”. Some people spent as long as 24 hours trying to get one of 100,000 extra tickets which went on sale on Monday.
8. TURKISH MINE BLAST: DEATH TOLL RISES
A desperate search for survivors is still underway after an explosion at a Turkish coal mine killed almost 250 people. More than 350 miners have been rescued from the pit near the western town of Soma, but fears are growing for the 120 who remain unaccounted for. So far 238 miners have been confirmed as dead. The explosion was caused by an electrical fault.

9. HOT TICKET: COURTNEY LOVE TOUR
American grunge singer-songwriter Courtney Love is touring the UK. The former Hole front-woman, who was married to Kurt Cobain, plays past hits and new material including You Know My Name and Wedding Day. “Captivating,” says the Daily Telegraph. Glasgow 15 May and various UK venues until 22 May.

10. ASIAN YOUTH LEADER QUITS 'RACIST' UKIP
Sanya-Jeet Thandi, the chair of Ukip's London youth wing, has quit the party on the eve of local and European elections accusing it of resorting to "racist populism". The British-born Asian said she could no longer support the party and wrote in The Guardian: "They are turning the election into a game of 'us' and 'them'. Well, I am with 'them'."
