Claire Foy will return to The Crown for season 4, Daisy Ridley hates on porgs, and more
1. Claire Foy will return for the The Crown season 4
Claire Foy won an Emmy for playing Queen Elizabeth in Netflix's The Crown, but when the story required an older Elizabeth, the role was recast with Olivia Colman for season 3. Never fear, Foy fans: recent images from the set reveal that Foy will be returning to The Crown for the upcoming season 4 after all. Unfortunately, the report suggests Foy's scene will be a flashback — so don't get too excited for a Back to the Future-esque time travel subplot where the older Elizabeth has to convince her younger self to keep the Royal Family together.
2. Daisy Ridley isn't big on porgs
Since his debut in the Star Wars TV series The Mandalorian, Baby Yoda has been the toast of the town. And if you only have room in your heart for one adorable Star Wars critter, you have something in common with Daisy Ridley, who plays Rey in the franchise. When asked if she preferred Baby Yoda to the puffin-like porgs introduced in The Last Jedi, Ridley came down firmly on Baby Yoda's side: "I'm not a big fan of the porgs," she confessed. The ewoks, sadly, could not be reached for comment.

3. Get ready for a bunch of movies about Batman villains
With the billion-dollar success of Joker, it's no surprise that Warner Bros. is trying to figure out if they can squeeze more money out of their supervillains than their superheroes. And with Catwoman (Zoe Kravitz), the Penguin (Colin Farrell), and the Riddler (Paul Dano) set to appear in the upcoming reboot The Batman, the studio has apparently decided which Batman villains might also merit their own spinoffs: All of them, because all three actors have already been contracted for both sequels and standalone movies. (Meanwhile, Condiment King sits alone at home, waiting for the phone to ring…)
4. A Downton Abbey movie sequel might be on the way
One of the few bright spots at the 2019 box office that wasn't a superhero or Disney remaking its own movies was Downton Abbey, the big-screen sequel to the extremely British TV show of the same name. And if you still, somehow, didn't get your fill of withering Maggie Smith putdowns or sweeping camera shots of a big old house, you're in luck: Based on the success of the movie, it sounds like a sequel is probably on the horizon. "We're having those conversations. We're working on what the story is," says Carnival Films chairman Gareth Neame — because come on, they've got to be running out of Upstairs Downstairs storylines to crib from, right?

5. Sarah Michelle Gellar met Santa Claus
Sure, Sarah Michelle Gellar is a pretty big celebrity in her own right, but even Buffy the Vampire Slayer looks thrilled to have met the biggest star of the season: Santa Claus himself. Gellar posed with Kris Kringle at the Palisades Village Christmas tree lighting, where the jolly old elf was kind enough to make an appearance during what we presume is a very busy time of year for him. If you're jealous of Gellar's high-profile celebrity encounter, never fear: We have it on good authority that Santa is planning to stop by literally thousands of other malls before the season is over.
