Real Madrid circle Harry Kane, and Man Utd want Hugo Lloris

The Premier League is all about one man at the moment, and it's no surprise that Spurs sensation Harry Kane has started attracting interest from overseas. Talking of young strikers, could Arsene Wenger, undeterred by the footballing car crash that was Yaya Sanogo, have agreed to sign another French teenager in the hope he'll be an Emirates idol in a few seasons' time? If so it might make up for the pain of missing out on two other targets.

• The least surprising rumour of the day involves Harry Kane. The papers are desperate for any titbit about the boy wonder and the suggestion that Real Madrid have scouted him is enough for most, including the Daily Mail, to start typing. The young striker, who confirmed his Spurs icon status with two goals against Arsenal on Saturday recently signed a contract keeping him at White Hart Lane until 2020 and has expressed a desire to be a one-club man. No matter, Madrid still want him. "Representatives of the club's scouting network have watched him several times this season," says the Mail. "[And] his performance at the weekend has only toughened their resolve to be part of any future race to sign him."

• According to Talksport Manchester United are increasingly confident of landing Porto hitman Jackson Martinez. Apparently the Red Devils are "monitoring the situation" of the Colombian striker who has scored 85 goals in 120 appearances for Porto. Quoting Portuguese rag A Bola, Talksport says that the 28-year-old is being pursued by United who are aware of the interest of Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool. United scouts watched Martinez in action at the weekend with the South American finding the net once again in Porto's 2-0 win over Moreirense. Talksport says that though Porto are "desperate" to hang on to Martinez they would let him go for £20m.

• Could a French teenager be set to make Arsenal's Dayot? Yes, according to the Daily Mirror, which claims Dayot Upamecano is the centre of a tug of war between the Gunners and Manchester United. The Valenciennes' 16-year-old centre half is one of the most highly regarded youngsters in France and the Mirror says Arsenal believe they will "pip" United to his signature in a £1m deal. Arsenal scouts have given manager Arsene Wenger "glowing reports" on Upamecano and the France under-17 international is poised to agree terms with the north London club. The Mirror claims Inter Milan are also interested in Upamecano but it the teenager "would prefer a move to England".

• Arsenal, United, Chelsea and Liverpool have been "rocked" by the news Marco Reus is on the brink of extending his contract with Borussia Dortmund. The Daily Star reports that the German international was widely expected to leave the club at the end of the season with a move to England anticipated. But according to the German press Reus will pen a new deal which will "completely eliminate his £19.8m buyout clause". Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich had also been linked to Reus but the Star says the new deal will keep the frontman at Dortmund until 2017.

• Is there a player Arsenal and Liverpool aren't linked with right now? If there is, he's not Mexican gloveman Guillermo Ochoa, because the Daily Express reports that both clubs are tailing the 29-year-old keeper, one of the stars of the World Cup. Ochoa signed for Malaga in the summer after impressing between the sticks for Mexico in Brazil but the Express claims he has struggled for game-time in Spain. As a result, says the paper, "he has asked the club's bosses to let him leave in the summer" and it's believed he's eyeing a move to the Premier League.

• The goalkeeper merry-go-round could be one to watch this summer, as Real Madrid's search for a new custodian puts the cat amongst the pigeons. After rumours linking them to Thibaut Courtois of Chelsea, the Daily Express has the Spanish giants targeting their original choice David de Gea of Man United, and the paper suggests that if they get him United will go after Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris, and will happily fork out the £25m asking price.
