Current back-up strikers Wilfried Bony and Kelechi Iheanacho look set to leave City ahead of the new season and there is plenty of speculation about the future of Sergio Aguero as well.

The report says Bayern are determined to keep hold of the Poland international but it has been rumoured recently that he has become unsettled in Germany and is annoyed by the departures of Philipp Lahm and Xabi Alonso.

The Daily Star admits that a move to the Premier League seems unlikely although City can tempt Lewandowski with huge financial incentives should he fancy a change of scenery.

Guardiola is certainly ringing the changes this summer and is closing in on a deal to bring goalkeeper Pepe Reina to the Etihad.

The report is carried by most of the national media and the Daily Telegraph says a £2.6m bid has been turned down by Napoli who want £4.4m for the former Liverpool stopper.

Reina would join City as deputy to new first choice goalkeeper Ederson Moraes, who signed from Benfica for £34.7m last month.

And his arrival would surely signal the end for calamity keeper Claudio Bravo, who has endured a miserable time between the sticks since signing from Barcelona last summer as Joe Hart’s replacement.

Reina made 394 appearances for Liverpool in nine years before joining Bayern Munich in 2014 after spending his last season at Anfield on loan at Napoli. The Italian club then signed him permanently from Bayern in 2015.

City are also expected to complete a £40m swoop for Monaco left-back Benjamin Mendy in the coming weeks.
