When a dog is played the sound of a wolf pack howling at the moon, it is more likely to respond in kind if it is an ancient breed such as a Siberian husky or shih tzu, said the report, published in the journal Communications Biology. On the other hand, Yorkshire terriers are more likely to bark than howl.
