A study has described the strangest items left behind in cars that have been sold on by their original owners. Among the forgotten property was a blood transfusion machine, a bag of horse manure and a box of human ashes. The most pleasant surprise for a new owner was probably an envelope with £10,000 in cash, although the seller later showed up to reclaim it.

Grief-struck? Keep the skin of your loved one!

A mortician is offering bereaved families the option of keeping the tattooed skin of their departed loved ones. Michael Sherwood, from Cleveland, suggests that grieving relatives keep the skin as a parchment-like artwork to hang on the walls of their homes. “People put ashes in urns on mantles and visit stones with their loved one's names on them,” he says. “Why not keep their tattoos as a memorial?”

Bag of dildos dumped in Somerset
