Virgin Mary statues cause uproar at haunted house

A haunted house attraction in Connecticut caused an uproar when locals thought that two statues of the Virgin Mary were part of the exhibition. After complaints, the Nightmare on Wolcott Street released a statement saying: “Our blessed mother has never and will never be part of our haunted attraction.” To avoid further confusion, the organisers have temporarily covered the statues in plastic wrap.
Woman becomes oldest in China to conceive baby
A 67-year-old woman in China has given birth, becoming the oldest woman to conceive a child naturally, according to reports. The child weighed just 5.6lbs when it was born. The woman’s husband, who is 68, told the Chinese media: “The child was bestowed on the two of us by heaven.”

Dying man keeps coffin in his home
A dying man has installed a large red coffin in his home in Australia. Following a terminal cancer diagnosis, Bertrand Cadart said: “I have no excuse not to try to make it as easy as possible for my two children. Funerals are incredibly stressful, very expensive, and it has to be done very quickly, because you can't say, 'Oh well, we'll take six months to bury Father' — Jesus, pee-eew!"
