A man has been ordered to stand trial after he sent a letter containing an image of movie cannibal Hannibal Lecter to a judge. Gregg Tchirkow, of Monessen, Pennsylvania, claims he sent the image as a “cry for help”, but prosecutors successfully argued it was a threatening response to being sentenced to prison on drug charges.

Geneva toilets clogged by wads of shredded cash

Officials in Geneva are investigating after toilets in three restaurants and a bank were mysteriously clogged with wads of cut-up €500 notes. The authorities remain baffled as to where the money came from and why it was flushed down the loos in the four separate incidents over the past few months.

Blood seeps from ground outside funeral home

Passersby were left disturbed and shocked after blood began seeping from the ground outside a funeral home. The liquid, a mixture of blood and embalming fluid, had leaked from a storage tank at the Greenoaks Funeral Home, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
