A woman in Shanghai who gave her iPhone to her two-year-old son so he could watch videos returned to find the device had been disabled and locked for 25,113,676 minutes, or roughly 47 years, by her son’s repeated attempts to unlock the phone with the wrong passcode.

Amazon’s Alexa devices start laughing on their own

Amazon has been forced to make changes to its Alexa personal assistant devices after a number of users reported that their devices were “randomly laughing”. Amazon said it will be rewriting software to combat the issue.

Fake child deputy arrested in California

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested for impersonating a sheriff’s deputy, following several complaints from local residents. The boy, wearing a fake uniform and weapons, installed a set of red and blue lights on his grandfather’s car, before driving around pulling over motorists and knocking on doors to answer bogus domestic disturbance calls.
