Babies that died 30 years ago get married

Two babies that died almost 30 years ago have been married in a wedding ceremony to “bless” a family. Clothes represented the deceased babies during the night-time ceremony, reported the Daily Star. “Pretha Kalyanam” or “marriage of the dead” is a tradition in some coastal communities in the states of Karnataka and Kerala in India. It is believed that it fends off the bad luck brought upon the bereaved families if their departed sons and daughters do not wed.

Man tires out girlfriend with 100 erections a day

A woman has said her boyfriend has up to 100 erections a day and it is tiring her out. Vikki Brown, 31, told Metro that Lucas Martins, 39, whom she met in a Morrisons supermarket queue, has erections that are “so frequent they can happen at any time, such as in a shop or going for a coffee”. Brown said: “We can be having a perfectly normal everyday conversation like ‘shall we go and climb this mountain next weekend’ and he has an erection.” Martins said he never experienced this before meeting Brown, and puts it down to her being a “goddess”.

Content warning added to Beowulf

Students are being warned that they will be exposed to black magic, monsters, death and blood while reading Beowulf. The Telegraph said a trigger-warning will be added to the centuries-old text at the University of Aberdeen to prepare undergraduates for the content. As part of the institution’s module Lost Gods and Hidden Monsters of the Celtic and Germanic Middle Ages, the warning states: “Texts studied on this course contain representations of violence, coercion, animal cruelty or animal death, incest, suicide, explicit sexual content [and] ableism.”
