Two babies that died almost 30 years ago have been married in a wedding ceremony to “bless” a family. Clothes represented the deceased babies during the night-time ceremony, reported the Daily Star. “Pretha Kalyanam” or “marriage of the dead” is a tradition in some coastal communities in the states of Karnataka and Kerala in India. It is believed that it fends off the bad luck brought upon the bereaved families if their departed sons and daughters do not wed.
