Sky Sports say nothing has yet been agreed but the Reds “are expected to try to finalise an agreement before Saturday”.
Reds join United in battle for Oblak
It’s not just Manchester United who are interested in Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak, but also Liverpool.
The Liverpool Echo says Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is desperate to sign the 25-year-old Slovenia international and the £80m price tag is no obstacle to the German.

“Liverpool’s world record-breaking move [of £75m] for Virgil van Dijk back in January suggests that the club are willing to shell out the mega money when Jurgen Klopp is convinced a player can improve his team,” says the Echo.
Alisson and not Oblak
But the Daily Express says that far from stalking Oblak, it’s actually Alisson in Klopp’s sights, with the Reds “in pole position to sign the Roma goalkeeper”.
Chelsea had been linked with the Brazilian with suggestions he would be brought in to replace Thibaut Courtois, but the Daily Star claims it is “almost a done deal” between Liverpool and Alisson.
