The Daily Mail says that the Turin giants are currently suffering “problems in midfield” as they chase a Serie A and Champions League double this season.
Kane on Real’s radar?
Real Madrid have reportedly lost faith in Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale and are now looking to sign a new goalscorer in the January transfer window. A long-term option, says The Guardian, could be Tottenham and England striker Harry Kane. Reports in Spain suggest that Zlatan Ibrahimovic or Radamel Falcao could be brought in as short-term fixes.
United interested in West Ham star Rice
Manchester United have officially “declared their interest” in West Ham United teenager Declan Rice. The versatile 19-year-old, who can play in defence or midfield, is currently involved in a contract dispute with the east London club. According to reports, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Everton, Manchester City and the German side Borussia Dortmund are also keen. (Daily Star)
Milan start talks with Fabregas
According to sources at Italian outlet Calciomercato.com, AC Milan have started talks with Cesc Fabregas’s agents to discuss a deal for the Chelsea midfielder. The Spaniard’s contract at Chelsea expires at the end of the season.
United ready to double Pellegrini’s salary
Manchester United are so keen on Roma star Lorenzo Pellegrini that they’re ready to double his salary. The midfielder reportedly has a £27m release clause in his Roma contract which United will activate in order to bring him to Old Trafford in January. (The Sun)
Pulisic to stay at Dortmund… for now
Borussia Dortmund expect Christian Pulisic to remain at the club until the end of the season at least. The United States international, who is 20, has been linked with Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham in recent weeks. Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc told the German magazine Kicker: “We have known these rumours for many years. We plan at least until the end of the season with him.” (Sky Sports)
Chelsea want £40m striker Piatek
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has made the £40m-rated Krzysztof Piatek his No.1 transfer target. The Polish international striker has reportedly urged Europe’s top clubs to sign him after scoring nine goals this season in Serie A for Genoa. Piatek is also being linked with Liverpool. (Daily Express)
Sarri set for £200m spending spree
As well as a move for Krzysztof Piatek, the Express reports that Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is lining up a £200m spending spree in the January transfer window. On his target list are Juventus’s Alex Sandro, Napoli’s Elseid Hysaj and Bournemouth’s Nathan Ake.
