De Gea on verge of new deal
Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea is set to agree a new long-term contract to stay at Old Trafford.
After long negotiations the 28-year-old is “ready to make a stunning U-turn”, The Sun reports, and United want to make him the world’s best-paid keeper with a deal worth £400,000-a-week after bonuses.

City target £50m Chilwell
Benjamin Mendy’s injury problems could see Manchester City in the market for a new left-back and on their target list is Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell. The Premier League champions are lining up a “stunning” £50m summer move for the 21-year-old England international. (Daily Mirror)
Spurs to steal Gomes?
Andre Gomes is currently on loan at Everton from Barcelona and the Merseysiders had looked favourites to sign the Portuguese midfielder on a permanent deal. However, Tottenham are now interested and will hope to beat Everton to his signature. (The Sun)
United plan £100m bid for Koulibaly
Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly is a January target for Manchester United. If the Red Devils do sign the Senegal centre-half it could cost them £100m - a record transfer fee for a defender. (London Evening Standard)
Toure not a priority for West Ham
West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini has called Yaya Toure a “great player” but says that signing the 35-year-old is not a priority for the east London club. Toure left Greek side Olympiakos on Tuesday after his contract was cancelled. When asked about making a possible move for the midfielder, Pellegrini said: “Yaya is a great player, a top player that plays in every part of the role. It’s not a priority as in that position we already have players.” (Sky Sports)
Ajax duo to Barca?
Barcelona are favourites to sign Ajax starlets Matthijs de Ligt and Frenkie de Jong. The duo have also been linked with Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich. (Mundo Deportivo)
Suárez set for the Prem
According to reports in Spain Barcelona midfielder Denis Suárez will leave the Camp Nou in January and sign for a Premier League club. Arsenal and Chelsea have been linked with the 24-year-old. (Marca)
Clyne is on Warnock’s shopping list
Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock has revealed he is interested in signing Liverpool right-back Nathaniel Clyne. When asked about the 27-year-old, Warnock said: “He would be one on our list definitely, yes.” (BBC)
