A Queensland, Australia, man was charged with public nuisance on Thursday for wearing an "I'm with Stupid" T-shirt at a campaign event for the state's Liberal National Party (LNP).
Iain Fogerty, who also maintains a parody Twitter account for Queensland Premier Campbell Newman, was reportedly spotted waving next to campaign members while wearing the shirt. Campaigners from the LNP and the Australian Labor Party had set up on opposite sides of the road in Brisbane, the capital of Queensland, at the event.
Fogerty was arrested by 10 police officers, and later released on bail. He must return to court on Feb. 4. Meanwhile, Labor Sen. Claire Moore described the event as "just ridiculous."
