Sierra Leone has seen more than 1,000 new Ebola cases in the last 21 days

The World Health Organization recently announced that Sierra Leone is the country worst-hit by the Ebola outbreak, surpassing Liberia. Now, the WHO has revealed that Sierra Leone has seen 1,319 new cases of Ebola in the last 21 days.
Liberia, meanwhile, has seen a decrease in Ebola cases in the past month, with just 225 new cases in the last 21 days. Liberia has reported 7,719 cases in the outbreak, while Sierra Leone has reported 7,897.
The Ebola outbreak has infected 17,908 people in West Africa and killed 6,373. The disease has also infected 639 healthcare workers, 349 of whom have died.
