Pope Francis denounces right to die movement: 'This is a sin against the creator'

Speaking on Saturday to the Association of Italian Catholic Doctors, Pope Francis called euthanasia a "false sense of compassion," and urged the doctors to be "courageous and against-the-grain" in their handling of right to die cases.
"This is playing with life," Pope Francis said, as reported by The Associated Press. "Beware, because this is a sin against the creator, against God the creator."
The pope also denounced abortion, in vitro fertilization, and embryonic stem cell research. But he was most vehement in his comments against the assisted suicide movement, calling the practice an example of "throw-away culture" permeating today's society.
