Hurricane Gonzalo is forecast to make a direct hit on the island of Bermuda Friday afternoon. National Weather Service forecasters classified Gonzalo as a Category 3 storm, packing winds of 125 miles per hour, along with a "dangerous and life-threatening" storm surge accompanied by "large and destructive waves."
Bermuda is only six days removed from Tropical Storm Fay, which felled trees and downed power lines on Sunday.
