German gambler faces arrest, pays fine with slot machine winnings

Talk about taking a gamble.
During a routine check last week at a casino in Bochum, Germany, police found a man who faced an arrest warrant for a previous incident. They apprehended the man, who owed a 710-euro fine (about $910), telling him he could either pay the fine or face 71 days in prison.
But just as the police informed the man of his options, the slot machine he was playing began flashing — he'd won the 1,000-euro (about $1,270) jackpot. The man apparently then gave the officers his fine on the spot, all in cash.
