Tyra Banks: Plastic surgery will soon be 'as easy and quick as going to the drugstore'
Taylor Swift isn't the only celebrity writing for The Wall Street Journal. Tyra Banks penned a column for the WSJ on how beauty standards will change in the near future, and her ideas are nothing short of radical.
Banks predicts that plastic surgery procedures will become "as easy and quick as going to the drugstore." She expects, however, that the procedures will be done in order for clients to obtain more unique features rather than to conform to certain standards.
Other Banks nuggets include the notion that "the features of one's baby will be as selectable as menu items at a fast-food drive-through window," which in turn will make brown eyes rare, rather than the norm. As beauty becomes more and more accessible, Banks suggests that appearance-based prejudice will completely disappear, and discrimination will focus solely on socioeconomic factors.

Banks also predicts that "everyone will have at least one personal robot/assistant," so here's to hoping that idea, at least, becomes true.
