We might be just days away from Amazon's highly anticipated smartphone.
The company announced yesterday that it's hosting a "device unveiling" at its Seattle headquarters on June 18, and the common consensus in tech circles is that Amazon will unveil a cell phone with 3D capabilities. If the one-minute teaser video that shows a bunch of people nodding their head vigorously while saying "ha," "woo," and "incredible" a lot is any indication, whatever this new device is should (hopefully) be impressive.
The phone is rumored to have "several front-facing cameras that can track your head's movement and display images on the screen in such a way that they appear to pop out in 3D," writes Business Insider. Or, it could just be a really cool Kindle. --Jordan Valinsky
