After years of rumors and teases, the prequel to 2001's cult hit Wet Hot American Summer may finally be happening. Sources at Variety report that Netflix is currently in talks to pick up a 10-episode prequel series, which would see the much older cast playing themselves as high schoolers.
The original Wet Hot American Summer cast is jam-packed with actors that are now hugely in demand, including Paul Rudd, Amy Poehler, Bradley Cooper, and Elizabeth Banks. But the creative team reportedly plans to circumvent their busy schedules with an Arrested Development-style approach that would work around the actors' other projects.
