If you haven't been paying any attention to the news out of West Africa, Jon Stewart provided a helpful, not unbiased, introduction to Boko Haram on Monday night's Daily Show. Even if you have been paying attention, you'll probably learn a thing or two about Nigeria's messed-up political situation and Muslim dental hygiene. Stewart noted the role that Twitter, and the hashtag #BringBackOurGirls, played in Nigeria finally taking seriously Boko Haram's abduction of more than 200 schoolgirls.
And that led to the part of the show that people will be talking about: Stewart had some, shall we say, not nice things to say about Rush Limbaugh, who is not a fan of the Boko Haram hashtag activism. How not nice? Stewart's takedown involves the phrases "quivering rage heap" and "Chernobyl-esqe Superfund cleanup site that was his soul," plus the hashtag #f*@kyourush. Your move, Limbaugh? Still, Stewart saved his most cutting critique for the leaders of Boko Haram, at the very end. --Peter Weber
