Video games don't cause violence

President Obama once said: "Congress should fund research on the effects violent video games have on young minds... We don't benefit from ignorance. We don't benefit from not knowing the science." This isn't so surprising given that whenever there is a mass shooting, people routinely try to implicate games in the violence.
But the evidence is already in. There have been many studies on video games and violence, and there simply isn't a tenable connection. Aaron Carroll digs into the evidence below. --Ryan Cooper
