AMC's Better Call Saul had the best series premiere in cable history, bringing in 6.9 million viewers and a 3.4 rating among the key demographic of adults 18-49.

The Breaking Bad spin off premiered on Sunday night after the mid-season return of The Walking Dead, and is moving to Mondays starting tonight. The previous cable record belonged to USA's The Dead Zone in 2002, which had 4 million viewers in the 18-49 demo. Out of all series premieres for the 2014-15 season, Better Call Saul comes in third after ABC's How to Get Away With Murder and Fox's Empire, which both had a 3.8 rating for 18-49.
